Review of the power point
Since I could not make it in class for the work session, I felt I had to make it up by reviewing some work that I could do from home, I picked the power point. I found the latest version and reviewed it for mistakes. Luckily, before the presentation, I found a broken link, some continuity issues, and some points to be clarified. All that I did is detailed in the word document below.Improvements to ppt
Time coding of raw video
I was given the task of editing the video that was recorded during the testing. To begin, I deleted all the useless videos, and then I began viewing and creating time codes for the following categories: Introduction Not Useful, Language Unclear, Confusing Navigation, How to get started ineffective, Forms Unclear. The following link contains the time codes.
I also created title sheets to match the PowerPoint presentation. Movie maker was used to create the movies.

Project timeline
Dr. Barker suggested including a project outline since the LUG report included one. The task was assigned to me. I based my work off of the LUG’s timeline, so they share a similar structure, but of course, different dates and benchmarks.
ORS and IRB Filtering
Often when people attempt to find information about the IRB, ORS links will be scattered throughout their search. The Editing & Reporting Team has been given the task of filtering out the links that pertain to the IRB so any future site will contain only relevant information. The links were divided into three and worked on by Edwards, King, and myself; I dealt with the last five links.
My Schedule
All members of the IRB team were required to create a schedule of the assigned to them on a schedule the should be able to accommodate. Mine has been uploaded on this post along with the assignments in the more detailed word document below.Schedule
Publication standards
When so many people are working on the same project, problems are bound to pop up. The purpose of Publication Standards is to stop this from happening. For example, Microsoft has recently released a new version of Office; people still using the old version are not going to recognize the new file extensions. In my publications standards word document (2003), I give some advice to help avoid problems like this and others too.
Goals
Here are the initial and refined goals of the E/R team.
Initial goals
Editing and Reporting Goals
Here are the various goals that the E&R group put together:
Project Goals: meeting deadlines, working smoothly together, accurately and effectively inform the sponsor of changes and suggestions to her website.
Group Goals: consistency of style, clarity of standards, a strong centralized group
Refined goals
I believe these goals are specific, exact, and in complete sentences.
Project Goals:
The project should be divided into weekly tasks and each task completed on time.
The management team must maintain weekly contact with each other and report back to other team members.
The sponsor management team must inform the sponsor of the scope of the project and keep the group weekly tasks within that frame.
Group Goal:
The E/R group will define a style early and make sure weekly assignments conform to it.
The E/R group will define and pass out standards to other groups early in the project to decrease workload later.
All six members of the E/R group will know their specific tasks and complete weekly assignments.
